Reliable analysis.
Research software that works.

I help research teams and healthcare organizations turn complex data into reproducible analyses, usable software and evidence they can assess. My work connects statistics, evidence synthesis and software development.

Discuss your project

Statistical analysis

  • Data preparation: Clean, structure and check your data before analysis.
  • Statistical modelling: Choose suitable methods, quantify uncertainty and examine sensitivity.
  • Reproducible results: Documented code, figures and statistical reports your team can review.

Study planning & evidence synthesis

  • Study planning: Define research questions, sample sizes and statistical analysis plans.
  • Meta-analysis: Combine study findings using pairwise and network meta-analysis.
  • HTA support: Statistical input for systematic reviews and health technology assessments.

Research software & automation

  • R and Python: Turn recurring calculations into reusable packages and workflows.
  • Web applications: Make analytical tools accessible through a browser or API.
  • Automation: Data checks, reporting and documented handover for your team.

AI evaluation & prototyping

  • Feasibility: Assess whether an AI approach suits your question and data.
  • Evaluation: Compare model outputs with expert ratings and existing methods.
  • Prototypes: Build focused workflows with error analysis and clear points for human review.

Robert Emprechtinger

I work independently as a statistical consultant and software developer under State of Health. My background combines a psychology degree from the University of Vienna, nursing training and research in evidence-based medicine and health services.

My published work includes collaborations with researchers at the University for Continuing Education Krems and the BIH QUEST Center at Charité. I connect methodological work with the practical tools needed to carry it out.

How we work together

  1. Define the question. We discuss the data, intended use and deliverables. Where feasibility is uncertain, we start with a separately scoped assessment.
  2. Agree milestones. Each stage has a fixed fee, a clear scope and agreed acceptance criteria.
  3. Review and hand over. You receive the agreed results, code and documentation. Each milestone is invoiced after acceptance.

Based in Austria. Available for remote collaboration.
